Journal Policies

The Journal of Clinical Medicine Current Research (JCMCR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through ethical editorial practices, rigorous peer review, scientific integrity, and transparency. The journal follows internationally recognized best practices, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices, the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations, the Declaration of Helsinki, and other applicable ethical and reporting standards.

These policies apply to all authors, reviewers, editors, editorial board members, and publisher representatives involved in the publication process.

1. Editorial Policy

JCMCR publishes original, scientifically rigorous, and clinically relevant research that advances medical knowledge and improves healthcare. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and relevance of the manuscript, regardless of the authors' nationality, ethnicity, gender, institutional affiliation, or funding source.

Editors are responsible for maintaining editorial independence, confidentiality, fairness, and transparency throughout the review and publication process.

2. Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal. Suitable manuscripts are then evaluated through a single-blind peer-review process by at least two independent experts.

Reviewers assess manuscripts for:

• Originality and novelty
• Scientific validity
• Methodological rigor
• Ethical compliance
• Clinical significance
• Clarity and quality of presentation

The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Academic Editor makes the final publication decision after considering reviewer comments and editorial evaluation.

3. Publication Ethics

JCMCR follows the COPE Core Practices and is committed to ensuring honesty, integrity, transparency, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

The journal has zero tolerance for:

• Plagiarism
• Data fabrication or falsification
• Image manipulation
• Duplicate or redundant publication
• Citation manipulation
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest
• Inappropriate authorship
• Peer-review manipulation

Allegations of research or publication misconduct are investigated fairly and confidentially. Where appropriate, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with internationally accepted ethical standards.

4. Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, data acquisition, analysis or interpretation, manuscript drafting or critical revision, approval of the final version, and accountability for the integrity of the work.

All authors must approve the submitted manuscript before publication. Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.

5. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, or professional relationships that could influence the research or editorial process.

Potential conflicts of interest should be declared at submission and will be published when relevant.

6. Human Research Ethics

Research involving human participants must comply with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable national and institutional regulations.

Authors must confirm:

• Approval by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee.
• Informed consent obtained from participants or their legal representatives.
• Protection of participant privacy and confidentiality.

Studies lacking appropriate ethical approval may be rejected.

7. Animal Research Ethics

Research involving animals must comply with institutional, national, and international guidelines for animal welfare and ethical treatment.

Authors should clearly state the approving ethics committee and demonstrate efforts to minimize animal suffering.

8. Clinical Trial Registration

Prospective clinical trials should be registered in a publicly accessible registry before participant enrollment.

The trial registration number and registry name should be included in the manuscript.

9. Informed Consent

Authors must obtain written informed consent from patients participating in research and for the publication of identifiable information or images.

Any identifying information should be removed unless explicit permission for publication has been obtained.

10. Originality and Plagiarism

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

All submissions are screened using plagiarism-detection software before peer review. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity or evidence of plagiarism may be rejected or withdrawn from consideration.

11. Data Availability and Reproducibility

JCMCR encourages authors to make research data available whenever possible to promote transparency and reproducibility.

Authors should include a Data Availability Statement indicating where supporting data can be accessed or explaining any restrictions.

12. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Artificial intelligence tools may be used to improve language, formatting, or readability of manuscripts. However, AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the integrity, originality, or accuracy of the work.

Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted and should disclose the use of AI-assisted writing tools where appropriate.

21. Withdrawal Policy

The Journal of Clinical Medicine Current Research (JCMCR) understands that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a submitted manuscript. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author to the Editorial Office at editor@clinicalmedicinecr.com.

·         Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript within three (3) calendar days of submission, provided that the editorial assessment or peer-review process has not commenced. In such cases, the manuscript may be withdrawn without any withdrawal fee.

·         Once three (3) days have elapsed from the date of submission, or once the editorial evaluation or peer-review process has begun (whichever occurs first), a withdrawal fee equivalent to 60% of the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) will apply. This fee covers the editorial and administrative resources already invested in processing the manuscript, including manuscript screening, editor assignment, reviewer invitation and management, plagiarism screening, correspondence, and other publication-related activities.

·         A manuscript will be considered officially withdrawn only after the Editorial Office has acknowledged the withdrawal request and, where applicable, the withdrawal fee has been settled.

·         Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal's aims, scope, policies, authorship, and funding requirements before submitting a manuscript to avoid unnecessary withdrawals.

By submitting a manuscript to JCMCR, the corresponding author confirms that all co-authors have agreed to the submission and accept the journal's withdrawal policy.
